Strike Three Kennels is located in Sundell, Michigan and home to 35 Alaskan Huskies as well as their owners, Tim and Mary Hunt. Puppies and "retirees" complement the race team.

Tim, Mary and the race team have competed in races from the midwest to the Rockies as well as the initial running of La Grande Odyssee in the European Alps. Tim has also been a race vet for the Iditarod numerous times and has participated as a musher in the Percy de Wolf dog sled race in the Yukon.

A full time veterinarian, Tim has won the Cooley Humanitarian award given to the best cared for team in the UP 200 sled dog race as well as the Prix L'Orange award in La Grande Odyssee for being the Best Sportsman. Strike Three Kennels prides itself on the quality of care the dogs receive not only during race season but throughout the year. In every race, Tim's main goal is to cross the finish line with dogs that are as healthy and upbeat as they were at the start of the race.

Strike Three Kennels has had great exposure in the local media, as well as regional and national coverage through major newspapers such as the Detroit Free Press and USA Today. During the 2004 La Grande Odyssee, the kennel's exposure became international as Tim was featured prominently in many French newspapers as one of only a handful of North American mushers. Tim also had the honor of having Jennifer Granholm, the current governor of Michigan, ride in his sled for the start of the UP 200 during her first run for office. Strike Three Kennels is well-known and respected throughout the sled-dog community in the United States and Canada as well as the European circuit. We believe a partnership with sponsors in the past has helped gain exposure in a positive light for them and we foresee this in the future as well. We are headed back to Europe again this year and also plan to compete in the 250 mile UP200 in Michigan.
