Testemonials

Dear Dr. Tim, I would everyone to know that after feeding sled dogs for more than 30 years I have found Momentum to be the best dog food ever made! The dogs coats are beautiful, and even more important to sled dogs their energy level is very high and they have fast recovery after a run. Thanks, for making such a great food. sincerely,      Bill Cotter, Nenana, Alaska

Bark River Racing has been feeding Dr. Tim’s Pet Foods for three years. We were one of the original kennels to make the switch to Momentum and one of the first to feed Pursuit. From the beginning, we knew that Dr. Tim Hunt (Marquette, MI) was on to something special - offering a dog food developed by a Vet and fellow “working dog” enthusiast, that met all the needs of even the toughest competitors. Momentum, with its higher “octane” formula is fed to BRR canine athletes during heavy training and race seasons. Come spring and summer, we feel Pursuit fills the needs of our competitors perfectly. With Dr. Tim's Pet Foods we found what be had been searching for - the perfect energy source for our athletes!

I’ve seen a lot of dog foods come and go with dog mushers over the
years. There are a lot of good foods out there, but I don’t recall one
gaining the confidence of so many of the top mushers and mushing
community at large in such a short amount of time. I’ve fed it for a
couple seasons now, and was in the first group of mushers to try it.

Both the Momentum and the Pursuit have worked well for my dogs. The
coats look good, they gain weight easy on it, and digest it well. It
works well with meat or without. A good way to try it out is to buy a
bag & feed a thin or pregnant/lactating dog with it and you will get an
idea of how well it would work for the rest of the team.

With Dr Tim having Race Vet experience and being a top competitor
himself, he gets feedback about how the food works every day he trains.
He also keeps an ear open to what input the mushers feeding it give
him, and has been open to tweaking the dog food, aiming for the perfect
sled dog food. That’s something that’s rarely going to be possible with
the bigger companies. You know if it works well for sled dogs, it's
going to be great for all sporting dogs and any dog you want to have
the best nutrition. Thanks from me and the huskies for a food that
keeps them happy & healthy!.

The food is great!  My dogs look great and are running very well.  The bulk of my team is no longer yearlings so it is hard to pinpoint what degree the food has helped.  However, last year all of my dogs including the older ones had serious stress diarrhea on almost every run.  I can say that only two dogs have even pooped while running this year!  With this in mind we are currently at mileage and speeds comparable to last December so I'm pretty psyched.  The crew will undoubtedly do very well this season.

Momentum dog food has been our teams #1 source of nutrition for the last three years. Not only do the dogs love it, but they are a picture of perfect health. We have also managed to improve in the competative racing world the last few years since we started feeding Momentum. We recommend it highly and are proud to be distributing this food to an ever growing market here in Alaska.

Hi Tim

I just wanted to let you know how our children and dogs did this season. The Children raced in Fort Nelson and Taylor B.C. with great results. I had told you about them earlier. Ben and Rachel then went on to be first or second in the Copper Haul Twister League. Ben and Rachel Tied for first overall in the League. They Raced the Junior Northamerican Championships. Ben finished third in the six dog. Rachel finished third in the three dog. Ben also won the most sportmanship award. The results were predictable. The speeds they ran at the Junior North american's were exactly the speeds at home while training. The snow kept falling here and was very difficult to keep in a trail fast enough to train at the required speed. Ben was first and Rachel second in the Junior race in Haines Junction Yukon. Ben also won the Sportsman's race beating all the adults entered. Ben and Rachel also went to The Wilfred Memorial race in Carmacks Yukon. Ben was first and Rachel was second. This race was also raced by adults. The food proved to be fantastic and our kennel managed to avoid any sickness all racing season. The dogs were alert, happy and very fit. I hope that this food continues to be available to us in the future. Thanks for your support.

 Sincerely

I am completely thrilled with Momentum Dog Food.  I tested all sorts of different foods and I was never satisfied with my dogs’ digestion.  When I switched to Momentum, I actually watched my dogs’ poop bounce off the snow!  My dogs run faster and further on Momentum.  (The bouncing poop is also a great diversion when passing other teams at races.)  This is great food!

We have been feeding both Pursuit and Momentum for the last 3 years with great success. We have completed 3 Yukon Quests on Momentum and our dogs didn't turn down the food once. Their coats are shiny, they are happy and holding their weight well. Last years Quest temperatures dropped down to -60. My dogs held their weight well and had no problem with the cold temperatures.

Thanks Dr. Tim for a product that is affordable and works!

As many dog mushers do I was in search of a better food with less feeding hassles. After reading about Dr.Tims Momentum I called Tim Hunt to ask about the food. He was full of answers, and as a musher himself knew what others were looking for. Over three years ago I made the change to Momentum, and have never looked back. Dogs look great, coat, feet ,attitude and performance are out standing. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality dog food.
